Hi! My name is Lobelia_Skysong. I was created on July 31, 2002 and painted Purple. I am a Draik, we appeared in Neopia from a medieval world called Meridell. I want to be a teacher at the NeoSchool when I grow up, so I need to be VERY smart. I work in our Gallery in my spare time. We collect educational items and our favorite Neopian items. It is so fun to browse through the aisles. My favorite activity is reading and my favorite game is Spell or Starve. My favorite foods are Slang Jang and Asparagas and Leek Sandwiches! |
I'm Blahzai, a Krawk. I was created on December 6, 2003. I was adopted on July 7, 2004. Pooh turned me into a Krawk and painted me Plushie as soon I got settled. Krawks are strange and wonderful creatures. My future plans are to become a magical healer. I love helping others and I love practicing magic. I hope to someday find a vaccine for Neopox. My name is Asher_Skysong. I am a Draik. I come from Meridell, a beautiful medieval world. I'm just a good ol' boy, not frighening or imposing...yeah, right!! HaHa! Don't judge a book by its cover, Draiks are very gentle beings unless cornered. I was created on Novemer 2, 2003 and morphed in to a beautiful Draik. Sgt. Pooh, our owner, lives in Texas, when she is not visiting Neopia. In case you've never been to Texas, here is a guide to a few of the more colorful expressions you might encounter there: 1. It's blacker than midnight under a skillet = It is very dark 2. As welcome as a skunk at a lawn party (self-explanatory) 3. Tighter than bark on a tree = Not very generous 4. Big hat, no cattle = All talk and no action 5. We've howdied but we ain't shook yet = We've made a brief acquaintance, but not been formally introduced 6. He thinks the sun come up just to hear him crow = He has a pretty high opinion of himself 7. She's got tongue enough for 10 rows of teeth = That woman can talk 8. It's so dry the trees are bribin' the dogs = We really could use a little rain around here 9. Just because a chicken has wings doesn't mean it can fly = Appearances can be deceptive. 10. This ain't my first rodeo = I've been around awhile. 11. He looks like the dog's been keepin' him under the porch = Not the most handsome of men 12. They ate supper before they said grace = Living in sin 13. Time to paint your butt white and run with the antelope = Stop arguing and do as you're told 14. As full of wind as a corn-eating horse = Rather prone to boasting 15. You can put your boots in the oven, but that doesn't make them biscuits = You can say whatever you want about something, but that doesn't change what it is 16. I would like a Coke = Don't order a bottle of pop or a can of soda, in Texas it's called Coke, even if you want a Pepsi, Sprite, or Dr. Pepper 17. It's easier to let the cat out of the bag, than it is to put it back in = Once something is done, it can't be undone 18. I'm fixin' to = I am about to do that right now 19. He's dumber than a box of rocks = He is not very intelligent 20. She's ugly as homemade soap = She is not attractive |
That was very informative, wasn't it! Here is a recipe that Sgt. Pooh makes us. She got the recipe from her mother who got it from her mother. It is an original recipe developed in Honey Grove, Texas, the town that Sgt. Pooh grew up in. The recipe was created sometime during the 1920's or 1930's. It is called Slang Jang and is not for everyone. However the old-timers love it. It is a cold soup and served with crackers. People used to go to the picnic area at the City Lake and have Slang Jang suppers. There have even been Slang Jang contests, with the locals trying to see who makes the best version. There are several ways to make it with the main difference being the type of meat used. Some people prefer oysters and others like salmon or vienna sausage. They will argue at length defending their favorite. SLANG JANG 2 cans stewed tomatoes 2 large dill pickles, chopped 1 medium onion, chopped Tabasco sauce to taste 2 cans oysters, chopped or 1 can salmon or 2 cans vienna sausage, chopped. Salt and pepper to taste Mix all ingredients together and put in ice cubes to chill it. When is cold, take out the ice cubes remaining and serve in bowls with saltine crackers and extra Tabasco. We prefer it with club crackers and oysters, but to each his own... |

My name is Venceslas. I was created and morphed into a Krawk on November 10th, 2002, by Sgt. Pooh's son. He likes his pets to be good battledomers, and even though I tried, I was never good in the battledome. I decided to live with Sgt. Pooh so I could get a good education. I'm much more suited to academic life. She adopted me on June 30, 2005. She says I remind her of her childhood and Sesame Street. My favorite foods are Krawk Apples, Steamed Dumplings, and Chocolate Ice Cream. |
